* The Club will be commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain with a special show on the afternoon of Sunday 19th September.

The show starts at 1pm, with many artists giving their services. Free admission.

A4 hour continuous show was held on 7th December  to coincide with HM the Queen's visit to Blackpool for the Royal Command Performance..

The show, an addition to the annual Poppython event, brought out some of the finest entertainers in Blackpool, who performed before a capacity audience.  Heading the performers were Steve James from the Metropole hotel, Nikki Leonard - chair of Blackpool Equity, Mike Buckley, Classic Sound, the wonderful comedian Dave Betton, Tommy Nolan, Georgia and bright young star Daniel Chadwick. There were guest appearances from Little Mo and Paula Paradima.
As compere Ian Coleman told the audience ' this is the alternative Royal Command Performance!'

  Remembrance Sunday was held on the 8th November, with services being held at Blackpool CenotaphBlackpools newly renovated Cenotaph (adjacent to north pier)

 

An assembly was also held on the 11th November to commemorate Armistice Day, both events being well attended. Blackpool is now acknowledged to be one of the most important ex-service centres in the Country.

 

 

  

Denise Nolan at the 20th Poppython

 The 20th 'Poppython' was held on 24th October and was a great success, with close to 30 entertainers appearing during the six hour show

 

The six hour continuous show featured a host of entertainers including Frank Carson, Denise Nolan, Johnny Casson, The Nolan Brothers and many others.

 The RBL Club takes a leading part in celebrating Armed Forces Day in Blackpool every June. 

Remembrance Sunday every year brings many of the participants in the parade into the Club after the events on the Promenade. 

The Pensioners Party every December is organised by the ladies of the Women's Section, who hold regular meetings in the Club.
